M3U8 is simply an M3U playlist saved in UTF-8 text encoding, which handles a wider range of characters. For everyday use it works exactly like an M3U link: you paste it into your player app and it loads your channels. If your provider gives you a link ending in .m3u8, treat it the same as any other M3U playlist.
