What is Resolution (SD / HD / 4K)?

Resolution is the picture quality of a stream — from SD (basic) up to Full HD and 4K (sharpest).

Resolution describes how sharp the picture is. SD (standard) is the most basic and uses the least internet; HD and Full HD (1080p) are much clearer; and 4K (UHD) is the sharpest, but needs a fast, stable connection and a 4K TV. Higher resolution uses more bandwidth per stream, so if you see buffering, dropping to a lower resolution often fixes it.
